Why I want to study Japanese

I wanted to study Japanese to build off of what I have studied before this and to be able to improve my written and verbal communication. Having traveled to Japan before, I hope to visit again with a better understanding of the language and a wider, more formal vocabulary. I also hope to improve my reading and writing abilities, by becoming more comfortable with hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji. In the past four weeks, I found writing to be most challenging, but I am also excited to work on my reading and writing because I have already seen improvement in reading hiragana.
